View MoreAfter a time of being away Knight had received the same information as Flam, he saw the same pictures and witnessed the video, is eyes narrowed at the face of this new enemy. "General Autumn, prepare volunteers who wish to go to battle, at least a few hundred, not the entire army, we must be quick so only those with wings," he orders and she nods as she goes to do as instructed. Knight went to his chambers and grabbed his battleworn armor, he admired it as he put it on, yet again he goes into battle, but this time, his enemy is an unknown, this time.. he is wary. That night he and four hundred of his flying soldiers took off towards kludgetown, from there they were to black skull Island and then to Panthera, from there they would fly the coast towards Saddle Arabia. Yet as they flew towards Kludgetown, they slowed as they saw many of those who lived there wandering the desert slowly leaving the city in the direction of Monros. "What is this?" Autumn says as she sees them walk, stumble or crawl. "Kludgetown has fallen," Knight says as he looks at the ruined city as fire roared in random places, "and now they head towards Monros as if they can feel life that way," he says. "Should we intercept?" Autumn asks and Knight shakes his head. "No, fortunately they are slow, we will return and raise the defenses and-" he quiets down as he hears a roar from the city, then all of the undead begin to scream, a large sound comes from the city, the sound of thousands of feet hitting the floor, a building falls in the distance, then the streets are suddenly filled with thousands of sprinting undead and they sprint into the desert racing towards Monros. "SHIELDS!" He yells as they dive towards the front of the rushing army, "SHIELD WALLS! INTERCEPT AND STOP THEM!" he yells. As they get closer, the army seems to see them and instead turns to rush them. Knight and his army crashed into the desert floor and set up a wall between them and Monros. Just as they brought up their personal shields as well as place their shields in front of them, hundreds of dead creatures sprinted out of the buildings and slammed into them, it was chaos, the soldiers stabbed and severed the bodies to pieces yet they attacked. Knight looked around to evaluate the situation, he looked up and saw that even dead, those with wings flew and slammed themselves into the soldiers, they slammed into any but a few hit those who held the shield up and disrupted the shield wall and broke it, they then rushed into the ranks of the soldiers and even thought they had personal shields, they did could not last forever, many of his soldiers came under assault from many of them and as their shields expired, they were ripped apart. "My king, they are too many!" Autumn yelled as she cut many into pieces and blasted some with magic who had tackled down a soldier, she helped him up and he returned to the battle, Knight could feel his soldiers dying, he growled in anger. His power swelled within him and he roared loudly as his shadow extended out and giant spikes of shadow impaled the rushing hoards as they also pulled in his soldiers as he helped them rebuild the wall, but even the spikes wouldn't stop them, they ripped themselves from them and continued the assault. "Use the fire!", he yells, he had brought flame throwers but what the video he saw mentioned was that they were slow and easy to flank, yet these bodies sprinted and climbed over one another in an unrelenting assault, he saw fires begin around him as those with the flame throwers began to use them but the bodies still slammed into their soldiers before the fire could consume them. His four hundred had been reduced to a force just shy of two hundred and their dead rose to join the enemy. From all over the streets of kludgetown more and more kept pouring into the streets. His soldiers fought and fought but he could see that this was a losing battle. Knight had to let his soldiers retreat but he knew this force would not just let them walk away, should they run they would be chased down, should they fly, they would lead them to Monros. He turns to Autumn, "Prepare the army, but do not march, bring up the walls, ready the guns, prepare weapons of fire! I will hold them back long enough for you to prepare!" he orders as he starts to focus "My king?" she asks confused on why he is ordering this now. "Bring up the shields and send word to Flam and his confederation, spread the information of the enemy that you have witnessed here, do what you must to protect my empire and those within it, do not wait for me!" he orders as once again his shadow expands and forces off the enemy with spikes and freezes them with ice as his eyes glow red and white. Then his soldiers fall into his shadow, each one gets pulled in quickly as the hordes push harder and harder. "Retreat into the shadows!" he yells loudly and his soldiers turn and dive into ground knowing full well that their kings power will save them. "My king we will stay by your side!" a few yell and he smirks at them, fools.. but brave fools, they too begin to sink into the shadows, once they realize this they turn to him shocked, "My ki-" they are unable to finish as he sends them away. Autumn was hovering in the air to avoid being sent away, only she and the few holding the wall were left. "I will not abandon you!" she says as she blasts magic towards a flying undead. "You arent, you will defend what I love," he says as he grabs her leg, she looks at him sadly and he forces her into the shadow as suddenly those holding the wall are forced down too and the hordes rush through. He drops his sword only to pull out his large black sword from the shadows on his right hand, and ice forms on his left hand, shattering and revealing his white ice sword. The rushing front ranks of the undead army are filled with his soldiers, weapons in hand and monrosian armor still clinging on to their bodies. "I will not allow this horde to dishonor you any longer, thank you..for your sacrifices" he says grimly as he sprints to the hordes his own roar mixing in with the roar of the undead.
