I think this site does a lot of things right. But there are some small issues I think that hinder specific subgroups of users, and here's my findings/suggestions for you to consider. 1. Multi-account notifications. While only usable for people with multiple characters (like myself), the issue is that if you have more than one, you have to navigate from a drop-down, open a new page, open a new page again for that character, and see if you got an update. OR you can just keep email notifcations on for each account, which is also a bit cumbersome. Having a notification that other specific accounts got a message would go a long way. 2. New users should have a means of seeing currently online users. As a new user, you either have to send a friend request to every single person in existence, or you have to just be keeping a big eye out for any individual post made on some sort of public medium, which unnecessarily prevents new users from potentially meeting old users who aren't as publicly active. This is an unnecessary sensation of isolation from the community, as having some form of reliably seeing other users who are online would be a useful metric for meeting new, quieter people. 3. Character privacy is non-existent for accounts with special roles. For example, if I have one character I don't want to be known as by non-moderators, I could normally turn on the privacy settings ... but I still have the role on my overall account, so people still see the 'Celestia's Captain' role and can infer that's who my character is. 4. Multi-character log in - Piggybacking off of suggest 1, but probably less feasible with how I think this site's programmed, having multiple notifications on characters would be a lot easier if you can be logged into more than one character at a time. 5. The players looking for RP group is misleading, and highlights a lot of users who haven't shown any activity in months. This makes finding people genuinely looking more difficult. You should consider limiting the characters on that list based on a more strict time period, like anyone with the looking for RP tag within the last 24 hours. 6. DM chats should automically scroll up to the previous messages. You should not have to scroll up, click 'View More', scroll up, then click 'View More' again. This should be a very easy feature to implement and it just a QoL for the DM system. 7. New feature - I'm going to refer to EEA's relationships tab, which allows people to identify character relationships between their characters or other people's characters. This is purely just cosmetic convenience that helps propogate some cute means of community and showing how characters relate to one another. 8. Add more visible lines for the preview of text posts on the wall. You only get like 2 lines before it's hidden away, while a picture can take up almost the entire screen. Text posts should have more support, as this will also help propogate meatier text posts/RP. Bugs ----- 1. DMs update messages on occasion to appear to send to others (this is purely visual). Messages in DM logs sometimes get pushed to the front. A refresh fixes these issues, but they shouldn't be happening. 2. People are considered 'Online' for several hours after their latest activity, whilst being offline on Arrowchat. One of these systems is more accurately showing who's online at a given time, and I believe it's Arrowchat. Notes ----- Arrowchat below is a mess. Lots of empty rooms. EEA and other such sites deal with chat a little bit better to propogate conversation, where there's a constantly on OOC/IC chatroom which people are all automatically added and received notifications for (who can then leave at their own volition). EEA also has everyone available to see everyone, which may be less desired, but does generate more use out of an IM system like that for communities such as these. I'm probably missing some stuff, but I hope some of this information from a person who's still looking at the site's UI and features with fresh eyes might hold some value for you all.

I like most of these but.. the relationships one is just down right horrifying and cluttering up profiles on EEA, i don't see a point in bringing that one here. the rest seems neat to add though.

Things like that would have to come out of my own personal pocket, which at this time, with the current world situation, it's not feasible. We don't require our PR to be artistically proficient. It is merely a bonus that could benefit us when it comes to creating promotional content for events, which we use for marketing purposes, but it is not a requirement to be accepted into the PR team We are currently in the process of transferring certain staff who have showed interest in filling up the empty slots in PR, but that takes us a bit of time, and soon we will start reviewing PR applications to see if we can fill up the spots left behind by the previous staff members who retired. But at this current time, our PR team member list is spread thin, sadly. In addition, and please do not quote me on this, but I believe that the Events section might be a little busted. I'll have to talk to Comp again to see if it's been fixed or not, since I remember we were having a few issues with it with previous events not showing up properly even when we would list events there. I'll have to get back to you on that one. In regards to the dark mode not allowing backgrounds on profile pages and such, this is intentional and has been discussed to be removed, however, a fix would over-complicate the already complex overrides that the devs put in place in order to make the current dark mode work the way it does, therefore, my request to allow this same request you asked for, was unfortunately declined. In the future though, I hope that we can adjust our dark mode theme to make it a bit more enjoyable and pleasant to the eyes more than it currently is. Thanks for your suggestion by the way, it'll still be noted down. Thanks again!

Hey there team! I've noticed since I've started rping around the site, that as I'm typing, and use shift+enter to get another line of space without posting, that I will get inconsistent spacing between lines. Sometimes this isn't so bad, only being one or two extra lines, and so only one or two backspaces...but other times, this will end up being 7-10 lines, which then tends to happen multiple times in the same post after it's started. I'm not quite sure what might be causing this, but I've noticed it can make it a bit harder to keep track of what I've typed. Is there any way to make sure it is a consistent 1 line of space per 1 shift+enter?

So i was thinking since there are a few people who use the dms in here that there should be a way to see if the other person or people are typing. Pretty like Discord when in dms or in a server you can see who is typing unlsess multiple people are typing ofc. But anyways I say that the dms here should be updated with that feature because honestly I kinda want to know how long somepony is typing something or if they are typing in general.
