Born from the fling of a Canterlot upper class Unicorn and a new Night Guard. Not wanting anything to do with the small bat foal, the mother left Astra with her father. Despite her unconventional birth, the single father utterly dotes upon his daughter. Being raised by a male parent alone has made Astral Flare a bit of a tomboy, not that she minds terribly. She is a fruit bat who adores space, nicknamed 'Little Star" by her Father.
