Marin uses the tradition of growing coffee beans to instill a more homey-feel to her cafe. This tradition is apart of the Meringue family, who hail from Prance, originally. Known for their decadent sweets back in their home country. After moving to Ponyville, they brought their traditions with them and it wasn't until Marin was an adult that she opened her cafe to serve as a catalyst for her talents.
