Her flaxen mane and bushy tail are creamy, slightly curled, and long. Her eyes are sea blue, and her sturdy, slightly leggy frame has no cutie mark.

As they passed near Bridlewood’s outskirts, they nudged her toward the town’s edge and left her there, their hooves fading into the prairie. Chelsea stood alone, shivering, her family’s scents lost to the wind.

For days, Chelsea wandered, her hooves carrying her toward Bridlewood’s lights. She nibbled roadside clover and wildflowers, their taste sharp but comforting. When the wild lands gave way to farmland, she slipped under a loose fence into an orchard, munching fallen apples until a farmer pony, a mare in a straw hat, spotted her. “Lost, little one?” the mare asked kindly. Chelsea’s instincts urged her to run, but her hunger and curiosity held her still. The mare offered a carrot, and though Chelsea’s words were few and babyish, she nuzzled the mare’s hoof in thanks.
