View More"For Immediate Release; Manehattan, Equestria – MANEHATTAN STARLET TRADES ‘SUPERPONY’ FOR ‘STAGE DIVA’ – Cyan Ripple, one of Equestria’s biggest film, television and stage stars will be appearing as Amber Von Tussel in this year’s performance of 'Hairspray' at the biggest, grandest and most prestigious theatre possibly in all of Equestria, Carneighie Hall in Manehattan. The production will run for the next two weeks with performances every sundown, with tickets purchasable from Carneighie Hall, costing 20 bits for Stallions & Mares, 10 bits for Colts & Fillies and 5 bits for Senior Citizens. Cyan, a Manehattan born star, is perhaps best known for her roles as Ally Barone in ‘Everypony Loves Raymond’, Young Dorothy in ‘The Golden Mares’, and Wonder Mare in ‘Wonder Mare: The Animated Series’ on television, and Rosemary Telesco in ‘Little Manehattan’, Annie Reed in ‘Sleepless in Seaddle’, and Wonder Mare in ‘Wonder Mare: Lost in Las Pegasus’ in film, and countless roles on stage.”

That was the last article that covered her work before she galloped away from her Showpony Lifestyle with almost nothing in her satchel, how could she have prepared for such a spontaneous act? Nopony would have known that the two week run of Hairspray at Carneighie Hall that’d just concluded would be her last! Articles in newspapers she'd read in the days and weeks following her disappearance were stunned, shocked and confused: Ugh, why was she still storing these articles in her satchel?! Maybe it was a reminder of what he had been, and more importantly, why she was running away.

So, why was she taking such a risk?! To escape the total lack of privacy that came from being snapped by Paparazzi Ponies at any moment they deemed acceptable? Unquestionably! To flee the gruelling hours behind a camera that often left her with no time to do anything she wanted? Definitely! To bolt from the droves of ponies that’d hound her in the street for autographs or photographs? Certainly… Although, maybe she’d miss that a little?! To take flight, although not literally, from her Showpony Parents, who piled on the pressure with audition after audition, and rehearsal after rehearsal? She'd could say "Absolutely", but that'd only be a partial truth… She loved them, and was already missing them, and maybe they did all that because they loved her too?!

Having set off in nothing but a black cloak, which had the benefit of keeping herself and her satchel hidden and somewhat dry… Life became one of a wanderer who’d move from town to town, from Manehattan to Baltimare, and on to Fillydelphia, Canterlot and now Ponyville, performing manual labour in return for enough bits to eat, drink and shower somewhat regularly. She vowed to start anew, to do all the things she’d never been able to do, like making friends, shopping without bodyguards, reading a book from start to end without being pulled from Green Room to TV Set at regular intervals, but most importantly, finding her Cutie Mark! And to add insult to injury, guess what happened as she attempted to do a Basic Level Teleportation Spell after years without using magic?! Her horn broke in two, and without any knowledge how to fix that, the broken pieces of her horn just remained in her satchel.

Having finished her final performance as Amber Von Tussel on stage, Snappy Scoop, a member of the paparazzi, snapped a cloaked pony escaping from the stage door shortly thereafter. Despite Scoop being unsure if this was Cyan, her lack of an appearance in the curtain call provides validity to these claims. A producer behind ‘Wonder Mare: The Animated Series’ allayed fans fears that their Ninth Season cliffhanger of Wonder Mare awaiting a pregnancy test result would be unresolved, by confirming that Cyan’s performances for Season Ten had been completed ‘weeks ago’.
