A tall, slender unicorn stallion with a dark purple coat, blue eyes, and a dark brown mane and tail, with simple and neatly kept style. His horn glows cobalt when casting spells, and he has a cutie mark of an open magic scroll, depicting a generic unicorn horn surrounded by a double helix of magic. He often wears robes or similar academic garb, but otherwise has little interest in fashion or adornments.
