Detailed Personality

Minty Frost could easily come off as being distant, rude, brutal, snarky and sarcastic. Towards others, she is nothing less than disdainful and blunt, carrying herself and her opinions out loud with little forethought or regret to insulting or showing disrespect to anyone. Towards others, she is nothing less than disdainful and blunt, carrying herself and her opinions out loud with little forethought or regret to insulting or showing disrespect to anyone. If aggravated or extremely annoyed by someone in her disfavor, Minty could become an intimidating figure. According to her childhood neighbor, she had been an introvert since she was a filly and only opens up to a select few people, and even those she had difficulty expressing to openly and truly. Beneath her hard-bitten demeanor, however, lies a more vulnerable side, plagued by self-loathing and deep-seated insecurity.

In spite of her flaws, Minty is a good person at heart, choosing not to waste the super-strength given to her at the cost of her friend's lives and becoming a hero to help people. Unfortunately, the harrowing encounter with Flake, who controlled her to do everything he wanted to, including murdering a mare before breaking out of his control, caused Minty to give up her life as a hero, no longer able to view herself as one, and preferring to keep a low profile as a private investigator. Though she openly refused to identify herself as the sort, Minty does show signs of heroism as she is deeply sympathetic towards other individuals who have been "Flaked", though, at the same time, she was also fearful enough that she came close to getting out of town.

However, the combined trauma of getting kicked out by her family and experience with Flake has also made Minty a somewhat unstable individual. She suffers from Post-Traumatic Stress and Survivor's Guilt, occasionally undergoing hallucinations and flashbacks of her time in Flake's grasp. These hallucinations usually involve Flake either whispering to her while she is surrounded by purple lighting, referencing the purple lighting in the back of the restaurant Il Rosso, were Flake always had their table. In these instances, she can act out more erratic and violent such as punching the window of a subway train after remembering one of Flake's commands. After the disappearance and possible death of her mistress, no matter how close she bonded with a person, Minty had great difficulty fully forming emotional connections to a person as she couldn't even tell Moon Dancer, her closest friend "I love you". After killing Flake, however, she appears to have put several demons to rest, acting more affectionate and possibly closer to everyone than before.

Due to her trauma, Minty developed a tendency to rely on alcohol to deal with her problems. Frequently, she is seen drinking various types of liquor, to little effect. She states that most of her money goes directly to booze. Due to her superpony metabolism, she is able to consume vast quantities of alcohol without damage to her liver and appears to have a high tolerance, being able to quickly drink an entire bottle of wine during dinner with Flake, then nonchalantly asking for another one. When inebriated, Minty can become more violent. Minty is a highly independent mare and shows no interest in being in a serious relationship, likely due to being forced into one with Flake. For a short while, however, she did engage in romantic relations with Conduit, bonding over their similar super-strength and troubled backstories. Ultimately, she refused to allow herself or her friends be disrespected by anyone, especially men. To the few people she cared about, such as Moon, she defended them fiercely, but also kept her distance from them so as to not have them become collateral damage. Moon also implies she's had relationships before in the past.

I was born in the Crystal Empire, I was disowned by my family around the age of 8 because they decided they didn't want to take care of a noncrystaline pony, that would make them the laughing stock of the empire. View MoreI was born in the Crystal Empire, I was disowned by my family around the age of 8 because they decided they didn't want to take care of a noncrystaline pony, that would make them the laughing stock of the empire. Before that I was kept hidden from the world, they left me to wander the landscape on my own with barely any food or clothing. After nearly freezing to death from traveling for at least 5 miles I was found by a beautiful young mare who had gone by the name Mistress Halty, when I came too I found myself in warm clothing and a nice bed, it seemed this mare who in fact was a rogue changeling. She was so kind as time past while working for Mistress as a maid from 8 to 16 years old; when finished with my duties I would slip out sometimes to find local areas around being lucky enough to find small villages, I even resorted to pickpocketing and thieving. I had been doing this from the age of 11 to the age of 16 sadly Mistress left one day all I had found was the house burning, I couldn't find any trace of a body so I had assumed that she fled. I was determined to find her, as I traveled through Equestria I picked up many traits of lock picking, fighting, persuasion, from fighting, fighting had to be the toughest, cause as I was growing up I found myself getting caught sometimes as a thief and being somewhat roughed up but coming out usually a winner messing the ponies up real bad, this is when I had also learned I had some super strength ability that I must've gotten from my mother, this became my second used trait when I would get into bad fights my first was my best skill of quickly sneaking away with my small frame. Until one day I had been approached by some stallions who I couldn't seem to fend off, they kidnapped me and forced me to fight and even kill others under their word, over time my guilt from it faded, I became numb to it and I had become numb to them but I thankfully found my freedom around 2 years later. When I became the age of 18 I was thankfully rescued by a group of undercover guard I was quickly transferred away to ponyville under the protection of the local guards, as months passed I became more comfortable slowly getting out of my own home which was when I had decided to find any jobs, the one I felt could be the best at the time was the only one I found being a Private Eye, sooo I had set up a small business as a P.I by this time I had also picked up smoking for the stress the business grew when I turned 21, I was recognized as the mare who did the dirty work to protect the town. My small studio office had expanded into a large 10x30 building I remember saving a lot for this, and why I did this was to get others to apply to the jobs I needed for my business, I wondered where life would go now.
