[ Spell Rarities ]

ᥫ᭡. - Common: The most basic of spells that almost anyone with a means to control and manipulate magic can learn. These spells are easy to understand, easy to learn, and do not take very much time or practice to learn and master. A majority of these spells are taught in public schools, and most can be learnt from a young age. These spells are known by name by the masses, including those who do not use magic.
ᥫ᭡. - Uncommon: These spells are not as well known as Common spells are, but they are still vastly known by the populace, especially amongst magic users. If anything most magic users know of these spells and probably have at least attempted to use them, if not have learned them and potentially even mastered them. It's common for non-magic users to be unfamiliar with them, but some may have heard of them; especially if they frequent being around magic users. These spells take some time and practice to learn, and require some dedication to learn them but do not nearly take as long to learn them, and they are not impossible to learn nor do they require a ridiculous amount of practice or effort to learn.
ᥫ᭡. - Rare: These are spells that are probably only known and learnt by the most studied of magic users; those with higher magical educations would be aware of these spells, such as those who have gone to Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns, or other such private academies. These spells are much more difficult to learn than Uncommon spells are, but are nowhere near impossible. They require quite a bit of time and practice to learn, but can be mastered after a fair amount of time. Learning these spells during a majority of their educational time span is plausible and do-able, if given the proper dedication. It's very unlikely for mon-magic users to be aware of these spells, unless they've learnt about it directly from a spell book or magical encyclopedia, or directly from someone who is aware of / has learnt the spell(s) themselves.
ᥫ᭡. - Mythical: Only extreme bookworms and intensive magic enthusiasts would know of these spells. These spells are of known tales, stories, folklore, and prophecies, but have only been proven to be real by maybe one or two users in recorded history, typically just the founder / creator of the spell and / or maybe their apprentice / accomplice if they had one. These spells could potentially be learnt if someone had the proper means and access to such knowledge, but finding said knowledge and then learning it would take years of dedication and practice; even more-so to understand and control, and even longer to fully master without mistake or mishaps.
ᥫ᭡. - Legendary: These are spells of old legends and long forgotten mythology; some believed to have been fabrications of old storytelling and are not believed to actually have been real. These spells have never been proven by modern means and still have yet to be proven so. If proven real, someone could potentially learn them if they dedicated most of the life to it, but the likelihood of this happening is improbable.
ᥫ᭡. - Ascended: These are basically God-tier spells. Spells that are world-shifting or reality-altering and are almost near impossible to learn. Your average magic user could not physically be able to learn these spells casually, and those with extreme prowess could potentially learn them, but most would have to dedicate a large portion of their life to learning and controlling it, and potentially their whole life in order to master it, especially if they are seeking to wield such a spell with complete control and without any mishaps. Some of these spells are common knowledge (like Celestia and Luna's Day and Night spells to control the Sun and Moon respectively, or Discord's Chaos Magic), but a vast majority of them are not public knowledge. Most do not even bother to attempt learning these due to how extremely difficult these spells are; even the most dedicated of magic enthusiasts tend to avoid these spells.
ᥫ᭡. - Special: A spell or multiple spells specifically tied solely to someone's Special Talent and cannot be easily taught or replicated. Those who are capable of learning it need dedicated and intensive practice in it and the success rate of actually learning and pulling it off is so low that few ever try; the only ones that have a slight chance at learning are those with extreme and abnormal magical prowess (example: characters like pre-wings Twilight Sparkle, Starlight Glimmer, Sunset Shimmer, ect.) and Alicorns of significant status and power (example: characters like Princess Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, ect.), but even then there may be some difficulty for them.

.::||[ HEART PIECE'S KNOWN SPELLS ]||::.
[ 'Telekinesis' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Levitation'; This is a Common Spell that she learnt from her mother as a filly.
Heart Piece focuses her thoughts and magic onto an object, thinking about moving it on it's own. The object then lifts up off of the surface it was on, and she is able to carry and move it willingly throughout the air. If not fully concentrating on the object she's levitating, strong forces and contact with said object can cancel the spell and make her either drop the object or force it away from her, depending on how it's hit. Strong concentration on the object can potentially negate this. Due to her advanced magic training, she can lift objects the size of your average pony with ease regardless of said object's weight; this includes herself and other ponies. Levitating anything larger than the average pony causes her to struggle, forcing more concentration from her and makes her exhausted afterwards. For easy objects, this spell is instantaneous; for difficult objects, this spell takes a few seconds to warm up before lifting anything.
[ 'Blink' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Minor Teleportation'; This is a Common Spell that she learnt during her time at Canterlot's Public School.
By thinking of a specific spot within her field of vision and focusing her magic on it, Heart Piece's can instantaneously 'blink' herself out of existence and can immediately 'blink' herself back into existence in the specified spot she was focusing on. Think happens with a minor flash of magic, and it happens within a 'blink of an eye', thus the name. Given Heart Piece's advanced magical education, Heart Piece can perform this spell in rapid succession; up to ten times in a row. Heart Piece can not teleport to the same space she was already in, can not teleport to any space that is already occupied by another creature or object the same size as her size or more, and she can not teleport to any sort of locations outside of her field of vision as that would be considered a different spell; called 'Flash'. When teleporting to spots that are preoccupied by objects smaller than her size, they are either knocked over out of the way or are thrown from their location, depending on their size, shape, and weight. If she were to attempt to teleport to a spot that is preoccupied by another creature of object larger than her size, she would simply be teleported on top of it.
[ 'Flash' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Major Teleportation'; This is a Rare Spell that she learnt during her time at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
This spell is an advanced version of the 'Blink' spell; thus it acts almost identically to it. With this version of the spell, Heart Piece can teleport herself and anyone / anything holding onto her / attached to her out of existence and can immediately 'blink' herself and them back into existence in s specified spot outside of her field of vision. In order to perform this spell, she needs to mentally focus on the location she wishes to teleport to, and needs a mostly clear image of said location in her head; at least around 83% clear. She can not exceed anything outside of 250 miles (~402 kilometers); if she attempts to do so, the spell will simply fizzle out. Due to her advanced magical education she can use this spell in succession, but only twice and she can not have anyone or anything else attached to her aside from two full saddlebags in order to perform this spell a second time in succession. She primarily uses this spell to get to Canterlot quickly if and when needed.
[ 'Candlelight' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Nightlight'; This is a Common Spell that she learnt from her mother as a filly.
By simply thinking about the concept of 'brightness', Heart Piece can direct her magic to her horn as use it as a sort of 'torch'; it emits a bright, creamy off-white light in the form of translucent magical flames. This light is similar to sunlight, but does not produce heat, nor do the flames burn. This spell will light up a radius of 20 feet (~7 meters), but is obscured by solid objects. Spells that are Shadow or Darkness aligned that were cast prior to this spell will be dispelled upon it being cast, so long as any amount of them are with this spell's radius. The flames around her horn while using this spell can not be used to harm others and can not be cast or thrown from her horn.
[ 'Treasure Hunter' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Gemstone Finding'; This is a Rare Spell that she learnt during her time at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns.
By focusing her mind on the properties and aura of gemstones, Heart Piece can attune her magic to locate any and all gemstones- visible, hidden, or otherwise obscured- and make them visible to her and her only, within a 25 foot (7.62 meters) radius. Even objects that are obstructed or encased in something (Example: Embedded in dirt, stone, ect.) will be visible, regardless of the object or material that is obstructing it. This spell does not remove or extract the gems from wherever they are, it only merely locates them.
This spell is difficult to use in tandem with other spells that require a lot of focus and concentration; most users- including Heart Piece- are typically only able to use Telekinesis or Candlelight with this spell at the same time.
[ 'Silica Shape' ]
Also commonly referred to as 'Glass Shaping'; This is a Special Spell that she learnt upon discovering her 'Special Talent'.
