Detailed History

Malinda was born in a powerful country named "Star Lands" that revolved around magic, strange magic only existed in her country when she was born. Her people were either earth ponies or bat ponies and they did not possess magic before she was born. But since Malinda was half unicorn and half bat pony she was overflowing with magic. Her mother was forced to drink the moon and the stars so that Malinda didn't die with her mom.

At first, she seemed normal to others her coat was pure white as snow and her mane was colorful like other unicorns. However, as she grew unique patterns began to emerge all over her body. these unique patterns were of stars, planets, galaxies, etc. Her people called her a "star map." Whenever she moved the patterns changed. And if she stood still the patterns flicker and danced in it's place. If she stood where the sun was the sun would emerge on her coat. And if she stood there, the sun would begin to move across her body as time passed on.

Her people were greedy and realized they could use her magic for themselves. In fear, she ran away to the snowlands where only the powerful dragons lived. Her people couldn't chase her there since they had no chance of surviving the harsh winters that always took over. Malinda bumped into a small white snow dragon and befriended them. Together they contoured other countries together. She was even crowned the rightful queen of her past country and of the snowlands.

However, she didn't like staying in one place so she traveled to Equestria in hopes of living a small simple life. She found out about Hollow Shades and set up a home. Where no one bugged her or knew about her past.

When Malinda heard a knock on her front doorstep she began to worry that her past problems finally caught on and she was discovered as the "lost queen of Star Lands." When she opened the door she found a colorful earth pony with a dino plushie-like tail. How peculiar. The colorful pony went by the name of "Sunshine Trinket" and she was bold enough to tell Malinda that she was her Aunt. Malinda never recalled having any type of siblings. Could this mean her father had an affair? Whatever had happened she no longer cared. She took Sunshine Trinket in and vowed to keep her "only" family member safe.
