While the MEI’s reach is far, the organization is limited by many restrictive policies aimed to keep interference with the civilizations they encounter to a bare minimum. Including, but not limited to, neutrality in conflict, strict guarding of information, and no hostility. MEI members are expected to adhere to these rules strictly until the point of desperation.

As well, the MEI possesses absurdly advanced technologies and well equipped human crews for surveying.
