Design Description

A slender and delicate mare, Moon stands just a little taller than most commonly seen mares in their juvenile to adulthood. Her pelt is a deep slate tone with variations of ombre black on all four of her legs and tips of her wings. Detailed Personality

Moon Dancer is a shy and easily startled mare... she is reclusive and soft spoken, avoiding busy cities and even small towns due to population. Social anxiety is quite the stumbling block for her, as she does not relate to normal ponies or their day to day lives. Trust must be formed over time and patience. Once she becomes comfortable, Moon will begin to open up and speak more casually and openly with those whom interact regularly with her.

Moon was enrolled into school at a young age but was promptly removed upon Argyle realizing her talents were not received well. A beautifully small nation that accepts beings of all manner size, shape, and species. In a time of peace, it was once a brilliant star amidst a myriad of chaos and misery. A glimmer of hope for a new age. All those there in, blessed within their blood a far more ancient form of magic. The Arcane Arts. At the height of prosperity, during one of the coldest winters the likes of Lorraine had ever seen, a rare blue moon shines down upon the birth of a single filly whom would turn the tides of their world forever. Nimue D'Lune they called her, and for four blissful years the house of the D'Lune family flourished. This was not to last… A violent storm that would shake the very earth, swept the whole of Lorraine. A cataclysm unlike any before, over took the prosperous world these Arcane users had built, destroying them forever. All but one, vanished, in the blink of an eye.

An archeologist, by the name of Argyle, in pursuit of knowledge would find himself caught in the storm and came face to face with something far more startling. A filly… scrawny and nearing death, doing the only thing he knew to do, plucked her up and descended the mountain. With no known origin, and no known name or family, Argyle took her in and began to sire the pegasi on his own. Gifting her the name Moon Dancer, Argyle raised her to the best of his ability as a single parent. And it was not long before he began to realize just how unique this foal was. It was apparent that while Moon Dancer did not possess the traditional Equestrian form of magic, she did have power of some kind. Often times rousing from slumber and conversing with that which was unseen. Over many years this talent began to seep into the day to day and caused a great stir in the busy city of Vanhoover. With no other options before him, Argyle enrolled Moon into a school for rare and gifted youngsters. But Moon did not show any signs of improvement and seemed to struggle at making friends. More and more she closed the world out, and when she was grown, ventured from Argyle’s home and opted for a life of seclusion.

Moon Dancer, having taken up residence in a ruined city within the woods nearest Hollow Shades. Nestled by a not so known lake called Lake Lyn. A highly spiritual place and but one area in which spirits may pass between the veil of life and death. It is here that Moon can be found… her haunting voice deterring most from passing beyond the confines of the forest paths. If one finds themselves lost… a passing chance at meeting this ethereal being may occur.

Books, tomes, scrolls... some various artifacts found after Lorraine disappeared. Nothing of real value in terms of bits and she has no true property as she makes her home in ruins beside the celestial lake the spirits call Mirror Lake. Aforementioned lake is more commonly known as Lake Lyn.

Skills / Notable Talent(s)

Moon is able to see and converse with spirits, it is her job as a medium to guide lost and weary souls to their final rest. While she does not have magic indicative to unicorns, Moon hails from an ancient line of Arcane-magic users. Not all ponies either. While she does not have a horn, nor can Moon cast spells using typical means a unicorn can, she is blessed with Arcane power. This is a more ancient form of Magic that is borne in the blood and permeates the entirety of Moon Dancer herself.
