Mercutio is a chauvinistic and fun-loving stallion with little mind for the calmer things in life. He's also somewhat cowardly, except when defending the honor of those close to him, which can result in unfortunate scenarios where he makes a fool of himself.

Detailed History

A sick and twisted sorcerer of strange origins banished from society had too much time on his hands and a general love for the classics. His obsession with Shakespeare in particular lead him to adapting a historical life based around Europe of the 16th century. It also resulted in attempts to animate and bring said characters to life, all of which failed save for one: That being Mercutio from the classic: Romeo & Juliet.

Well, "brought to life" isn't entirely accurate, as the exiled sorcerer had actually created life itself in his cave. Using banished and forbidden arts, and the sacrificial tissue of several hosts, he was able to animate what he dubbed to be the ideal and ponified version of his character. Unfortunately, what he ended up with was less than the fun and 2-dimensional characters from his stageplays he idolized so very much. This new pony had the mind of an infant and had to be shaped into his ideal character, though he did have most of the looks. Realizing that this was an acceptable setback, the Sorcerer tended to Mercutio for several years like a beautiful Orchid. He was fed, taught to speak (in a Shakespearean accent), and the Sorcerer even bestowed some of his lesser spells to him (since he'd made Mercutio a Unicorn). Once he reached the technical age of 5 (and the physical of 20), Mercutio was ready to do what he was created for: Act out Shakespearean plays in real time.

However, the Sorcerer, in his hubris and desire to see his favorite stories brought to life, had taught Mercutio too much. Bits and pieces of the outside world coupled with the mention of his own name in a fictional novel had raised his suspicions too large. Mercutio, after secretly mastering the teleportation spell, teleported as far away from the cave he grew up in as he could, landing him smack dab in the middle of Las Pegasus.

Since there, Mercutio has struggled to find much purpose. He's grown to a life of partying and reckless fun, but he has no Earthly possessions save for the clothes on his back, an antique sword, and whatever bits he can get away with scavenging. He's content, but not happy in his tumultuous and confusing life...
