She was, however, born into a rather unfortunate scenario. She lived with her single mother, her father non-existent in her life. They were homeless. Her mother couldn't quite take care of her, either. Her mother was far cast into depression, so far that she never left. So, to survive, Skull had to begin working at a very young age. Having difficulty finding a job at such a young age, she dealt with whatever she could get. Eventually, she began working as an assistant to a mortician. The only mortician in town. The morgue sat on the far side of town, almost hidden. The current mortician was a bit lacking technologically. Using nearly ancient techniques with bodies, it was brutish, almost inhumane. Skull caught on quick, though. One night, after finally returning home, Skull found out her mother was dead. It tore at her, but she soon got over it. She had grown onto her mentor back at the morgue. She stayed in the morgue since, having no place else to go. The mortician took her in, as if she were her own filly. This went on for a while before a tragic event happened. While the two were working together on a body, the mortician slumped over. A look of panic quickly flooded her face as she fell to the ground, hoof on her torso. Skull panicked, not knowing what was going on or what to do. Her mentor died right there in her arms from a fatal heart attack. This was all it took for Skull to break. She blacked out, destroying most of the supplies in the room. With a complete loss of purpose, she ran far away. Her path lead her deep into the Everfree. Near the middle of the forest, being stopped by a rugged line of thorny bushes. It almost seemed as if it grew around something. Slowly pulling away the bushes, Skull exposed a tarnished oriental metal box. After struggling for a while to open, it popped open. A dark aura escaped rapidly, circling her. The aura whispered to her, "I can grant you one wish, anything you want. But I require something in return." Skull sobbed softly before whispering back to it. "I want the pain to go away, forever. I can't handle it, please..." A small chuckle echoed around her before it answered, "Very well..." Skull blacked out. When she woke up, she was back in the morgue. Laying on the floor, she stared up at the ceiling. She was numb, all over. She didn't feel a single thing anymore. She stood up and looked in the mirror, noticing one major difference. Her right eye was black, just like the aura she had found. In the middle of the eye sat a ghostly white pupil. Following this event, she started running the morgue once more. Using the same methods her mentor taught her, she managed to keep it running
