The Guardian was resurrected by his Ghost, chosen to become one of the many defenders of the remnants of humanity: A Guardian. While having no recollection of his past life, his ambition shown through his achievements displays his commitment in this new life.

The Guardian, from his connection to the Traveler through his Ghost, can harness the Light to utilize paracausal powers to wave off the overwhelming foes of humanity. All Guardians are equally capable of throwing grenades that are the equivalent to ranged spells, utilizing melee abilities, summoning barriers, rifts, or leaping into a directional dodge, and becoming supercharged with Light to scatter their foes.
