View MoreSilver is mostly a stallion-of-all-trades, but his real talent happens to have a lot of luck. It's how he earned his cutie mark. He often jokes about being 'in the wrong place at the right time', since very often he'll stumble into a situation he's not initially involved in, and find himself in a position to do something about it. After helping out so many ponies in his lifetime, Silver has developed some intuitive detective skills that help him figure out mysteries and investigations that he might be hired in, having a high perception of his surroundings and other ponies. Combined with his luck, it's extremely difficult for him to fail at helping out.Silver was born and raised primarily back in Neighvarro, a coastal town that hovered over Horseshoe Bay. Neighvarro has historically been the hometown of many military-oriented pegasi, and his family was no different, his father being a Royal Guard, and various other grandfathers and uncles in the same manner. That is not to say that Silver had a strict foalhood; his parents acted just like any other pony, and raised him in a decent manner. His father had been injured during a mission outside Equestrian borders and had retired when he was young. Eventually they moved to Cloudsdale to be more centrally located.While staying in Cloudsdale, Silver joined a defense company that called itself SECURITY, which were like bodyguards / cops for hire. He started young, joining the company at the age of 17, gaining lots of experience ranging from domestic to foreign affairs, the boring and the dangerous. He had stayed with SECURITY for four years, until he turned 21, which would make most ponies believe him to be a child soldier.After Silver had gotten older, his parents felt that he was ready to be on his own, and they both moved out from Cloudsdale to go see places they've always wanted to see, leaving him with some inheritance and wise advice. Silver completely understands his parents' decisions and held no ill feelings against him, ready to move out of Cloudsdale and into Ponyville. Not really wanting to go back into SECURITY, he decided to start his own business in town, called the Silver Luck Agency, where he wanted to use the skills he had collected for more domestic purposes.
