I roleplay in third-person narrative style, but I'm perfectly fine with any style of roleplay. Reply length can depend heavily what's currently happening and how much detail it takes to write, but I usually say at least a couple sentences or so, nothing too huge.

No romance or ERP, Guts is taken, and even if he wasn't, he's far too busy for any NSFW actions. (Plus I'm taken IRL and doing that kind of thing isn't something I'm comfortable with.)

Design Description

Guts is a tall, strong stallion with white fur, black hair with a small white streak towards the front of his hairline, and black eyes. The stallion's body is covered from head to toe in scars gained over the many battles he's struggled through, against both human and monster. His cutie mark, previously a sword, was replaced by the Brand of Sacrifice (pictured below) during the events of the eclipse.

Detailed Personality

Known for his air of austerity, Guts is a gruff, cynical man holding an overall bleak outlook on life. Guts, renowned as the "Black Swordsman", is a former mercenary and branded* wanderer who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and protecting those dear to him.

At one time driven solely by his will to survive, Guts finds purpose in life upon joining the Band of the Hawk, a mercenary group led by a man called Griffith. He greatly helped in the faction's storied successes during the Hundred-Year War* as captain of the band's raiders. He eventually becomes dissatisfied with clinging on to Griffith's dream, and departs from the band in pursuit of his own. Following the horrors of the Eclipse* prompted by Griffith, Guts embarks on a two-year war against the God Hand and apostles*, becoming increasingly embittered on his one-track quest for retribution. He in time realizes protecting his regressed lover is more important to him, as well as something he cannot do alone, and thus seemingly abandons his quest for revenge while fostering camaraderie with his new companions.

EXTRA DETAILS ON TERMS USED:

Branded: Given to those bearing the Mark of Sacrifice, this mark is etched in to the person's skin and means that they have been given as an offering to the apostles. Apostles and demonic creatures will be attracted to their presence and anyone bearing the mark will forever be hunted by them until their death. The mark will also signify the nearby presence of apostles, by causing pain to the bearer that gets more intense the closer they are.

Hundred-Year-War: The Hundred-Year War was a century-spanning series of conflicts between the Kingdom of Midland and Tudor Empire, sparked by Tudor's seizing of Midland's border fortress Doldrey. The war is finally concluded when Griffith and his Band of the Falcon succeed in recapturing Doldrey from Tudor's hold.

The Eclipse: The Eclipse is a rare event in the world of Berserk, occurring once every 216 years to welcome a new member for the God Hand. The future God Hand member needs to offer a large sacrifice for the apostles to feast on, in the case of the event mentioned, Griffith sacrificed the entirety of the Band of the Hawk, including Guts. Guts was rescued by a mysterious helper known as the Skull Knight, along with his partner, Casca. Casca was scarred by the event and left in an extremely regressed mental state, having no ability to speak and having the mental capacity similar to a child.

God Hand, behelits and the apostles: The God Hand is a quintumvirate of demon sovereigns who act as executors of the Idea of Evil's will, by virtue of their desires being intrinsic to the entity. As the most powerful of demonkind, they reign over apostles as their masters, and are responsible for creating apostles from people that have come in to possession of artifacts known as behelits. Apostles are people that have given a sacrifice to the God Hand to be reborn in demonic forms, far more powerful than their human bodies. This also comes with a loss of their morality, feelings and humanity.

Berserker Armour (Mentioned in 'Detailed Description' part of info section): The primary function of the Berserker Armour, by way of its magic, is to suppress the physiological and subconscious systems of the human body which would normally prevent a person from exerting enough force to injure themselves. The result is a significant augmentation of the wearer's physicality, increasing strength and speed to previously unimaginable levels. The armour does this by eliminating the distress caused by pain; the wearer can still feel pain as a sensation, but the mind does not interpret the pain as being a problem, allowing for it to simply be ignored. It also invokes a tremendous bloodlust in the wearer, amplifying negative emotions like hate, fear, and anger that enable the wearer to fight harder. The armour also temporarily repairs debilitating injuries in the heat of battle. For instance, a broken arm will be pieced together by the armour injecting thin spines from itself into the broken bones, returning them to their proper places and restoring the limb's functionality. The armour can also repair itself if damaged.
