Roughly the size of your average stallion, Void isn't some prime example of being a stallion. A few scars here and there, typically covered via magic or a set of robes. Mane long and curled, and with being mildly slender, some could confuse Void for a mare. Has an odd flame pattern going up his hind hooves that seem to constantly move. Detailed History

Void was born long ago, in an age long since forgotten by most. Even Void struggles at times to remember exactly when it all began. However, his best guess is simply to say back during the times of the Three Tribes. However, he'd place it more in the early days. When conflict was much more of a norm, and an enterprising mage wouldn't suffer nearly as much suspicion. When magic research was nowhere near restricted as it is nowadays.

If he were to guess, he'd hesitantly claim to be of a noble heritage, allowing him the luxury of focusing on magecraft. More specifically, to be trained to use magic to bring the enemies of the Kingdom low, which is when things took their turn for the worst. He became a war mage, an unmarked one at that. He was sent out, once his training was complete, and thus was he subjected to horrors that had been merely far off tales for so long. Death, gruesome and cruel, became a part of his life, and in his fear, he had sought a way to transcend it. Even when the war had ended, and he returned to a more civilized lifestyle, he couldn't trump his fear of death. When what was known hadn't been able to satisfy his desire to transcend death, he began to search.

The last thing he could vaguely recall was his answer being found. He had upped and left, searching far and wide. From the natural wilds to the frozen wastes, he had wandered. Nothing but determination and myths as his guide. Finally though, he had found it in Tarturus. He had managed to sneak his way in, to speak to the damned. To consort with unspeakable evils. After that, his memory becomes too hazy for him to even consider hazarding a guess on. However... Clearly, he found what he wanted. He was still kicking, after all.

What felt like a few years to him, turned out to be hundreds of years. All this lost time having left him far behind, in terms of advancements. That's fine with him. After all, he's got in theory all the time in the world to find it out. All he has to do is keep his mind open and his life secured. However, he'll probably have to work hard to ensure he's caught up. Although he somewhat doubts it, given the peacefulness of this Equestria, he fears there to be organizations set to hunt him out for being an evil being. Not that he'll let that bother him. He'll simply strive to avoid them if they exist, seeking to bequeath his own knowledge and acquire new information, to perhaps improve his own skills or make these new ways even better!
