Design Description

Trip Wire’s build is tall and athletic. His job tends to be physically demanding, which helps him keep in decent shape. His pale coat is almost paper white, and very short; therefore, he lacks the fuss around the chest and fetlocks that other earth ponies tend to have.

Detailed Personality

At first glance Trip appears to be a well-rounded individual. He is friendly but not overly sociable, he’s laid-back, casual, and also comfortable with himself. With these traits, it’s easy for Trip to disappear in the background, as there isn’t much that stands out from him. Detailed History

Trip Wire was born in New Horsey, his biological parents died tragically young, leaving him orphaned also very early in life. Trip had no known living relatives and was unfortunately (or fortunately, who knows?) directly placed into an orphanage for adoption. Trip had no known living relatives and was unfortunately (or fortunately, who knows?) directly placed into an orphanage for adoption. At 6 years of age, he was unfortunately much too old for most adopting parents looking for a foal to raise. The living conditions in which Trip was first found were also not the greatest. The tragic nature of his parents’ simultaneous passing were… well, distasteful; something that also managed to deter aspiring parents from adopting him.

Trip’s biological father was an abusive man, as far as the orphanage knows, most of the physical abuse was endured by Trip’s mother, although the foal was also regularly victimized. Their violent family life culminated with the murder of Trip’s mother, who was allegedly pushed from a window on the 3rd story of their home and who, as a result, died on impact. Then, or so the authorities theorize, the father retreated to the gardening shed to end his own life via shotgun to the chest. It is unclear how much Trip remembers of the event, and it is mostly a well-kept secret. Most you would get out of him is that his parents passed away simultaneously in a tragic accident and that, having no other family, he grew up in an orphanage afterwards.

His life at the orphanage wasn’t terrible, he grew up surrounded by other kids and the personnel was caring, kind and gentle. Albeit at times they had too much on their hands, and they understandably struggled to control the chaos. Trip is fond of his memories growing up in such a place and does think that he’s better off having grown up with them. He went to a regular school and had a mostly normal life, excluding certain aspects. The support he had was precarious at points, but he still managed to uncover his innate talent and can now make a living exploiting it. Trip still regularly donates to orphanage institutions to demonstrate his gratitude. Now as an adult, he’s moved out of new horsey into the much bigger and fancier Manehattan. Trip is satisfied with his life as is and doesn’t appear to have many bigger goals to chase after.
