B I OJokul is a draft horse from the far north. He was born and grew up in a fairly small society made up entirely by draft horses fit for living in the cold climate north of Equestria. After he was forced to leave his homeland, Jokul ended up in the Crystal Empire where he now has set up a small business where he offers his expertise on traversing the harsh icy climate outside of the magical barrier protecting the Crystal Empire - in exchange for the right amount of bits of course. The days he isn't out in the cold risking his life for others are usually spent in bars, drinking his hard-earned bits away. Not exactly a good way for a young stallion to be spending his best years.
P E R S O N A L I T YOn the outside, Jokul typically appears to be laidback and easygoing. He rarely gets upset and if it ever does happen he's usually one to duke it out rather than letting the bad vibes linger. He is by no means violent per say, but the culture he's grown up in has given the stallion a rather lax relationship with violence. He sees it as a necessary part of a happy life. You hurt each other, you fight, you move on with your lives. This way of thinking also means that Jokul rarely is one to hold a grudge against somepony else.
Jokul is an excellent liar and uses his skills rather frequently. Whenever ponies ask about his past you bet this stallion won't be telling you anything worth listening to as that information is his most well-kept secret. If he were to over let anyone know how he truly ended up in the Crystal Empire they would have to be someone who has really earned his trust.
D E S C R I P T I O NJokul's fur is thick and consists of multiple layers to keep him warm during the cold harsh winters of his homeland. Although most draft horses are considered giants, Jokul is a smaller, more compact breed and isn't much taller than an average stallion. However, he has a heavier built than pony stallions. (He is based on a Jutland Horse for those of you who are into breeds)
Aside from the long tuft of hair right below his left ear, all of Jokul's mane spikes in whichever direction falls naturally for it. It's cut fairly unevenly as Jokul does not believe in barbers or hairdressers. The long loose tuft is tied with a blue glass bead and which symbolizes the wealth and importance of his family. Jokul's eyes are a fiery orange which contrasts sharply with his otherwise brown mane and tail, often making ponies drawn to them.
