T X T___________________________________Scarlett grew up in the small, bat run town of Hollow Shades, a town located deep into the forest as to not disturb the bats and thestrals living there. She had two loving parents, who shall be referred to as 'Mom' and 'Dad' for anonymity and simplicity;s sake. We wouldn't want to risk the life of the family of our guard, now would we? Anyways, from a very young age Scarlett was heavily interested in the Lunar guard. Dad had always been a part of it for as long as she could remember, and she aspired to one day join it and work alongside her father. This dream was reinforced when she was enrolled in a junior training camp ran by real members of the guard. That's where she learned really how to use her fangs in her favor. She learned how to secrete numbing agents, and how to properly hold on to those she was defending against. During one of the trials she learned to heavily hone in her ability to see in the dark. She found that she was able to track movement and predict where things were going like no-one else was. By the end of the night, there was her cutie mark. A crescent moon with the eye in the center to signify her extremely keen and precise sight and ability to predict where things are going, and where she needs to be to intercept, making her a great guard in the future.Time progresses, and Scarlett is entered into grad school, which surprisingly.. she was fed propaganda that just strengthened her need to join the guard. Things were explained to her. No one wanted to employ thestrals outside of the guard. No one would take them in due to them being freaks of nature, and 'abominations that shouldn't exist'. Mostly everyone that didn't take after their parents in the Hallows had to join the guard to remotely have a chance at a future. Most of them didn't even make it, either! Those who didn't make it in, and didn't have something lined up? Well, plain and simple they are fucked.After schooling was well and over, Scarlett began to notice how.. Short she was. Thestrals are short, yes. The stallions being at the largest, the size of an earth mare. but no, Scarlett was short for a thestral, and it was something she used to her advantage. She realized she could maneuver better, faster, and could fit smaller places. Safe to say, things were going VERY well. She was taken into the guard as a prodigy. The daughter of a high ranking official, and one hell of a fighter due to her ability to assess and figure out her opponents before they realized what was happening. By the time they did, they had swung, missed, and was on the ground. Why wouldn't they want her! Though, life wouldn't keep this high note, unfortunately.Within the coming months, Scarlett's father was deployed on a mission that involved [ R E D A C T E D ]. He never returned. This caused the mare to grow cold, and she slowly became a work-aholic. Whenever she wasn't on duty? The mare was either sleeping, or training. She closed herself out except for a few close friends who knew that her goal was to be just like her father, and she wouldn't be satisfied till that day.Now today. She still has yet to reach her goals, and is still rather secluded. She has reached the rank of Corporal after hard work and has zero plan to stop there. Her father was a staff sergeant. She still has a ways to go until that point. The easiest and best way to catch Scarlett would be via her patrol routes, or through those shes close to. All she really needs is someone to break this cycle shes set herself in, help her relax.
