Virtuous Flight, as a colt, always wondered why the Earth ponies and Unicorns couldn't fly like Pegasus could. So, after realizing that lift could be created using things other than Pegasus wings, he started trying to design machines that would allow a creature to fly without wings or magical assistance. He currently is in the process of making more efficient designs that are less prone to exploding randomly.
