Hello, everyone!
It is that time of year again. A time in which we all come together to celebrate yet another year of the launch of Canterlot Avenue. This year, we chose to take a much more simple approach in this year’s anniversary. I have a few details of what we will be doing this year, but first I just wanted to express a few words.
Firstly...Wow, Three years! It was like it was only yesterday that I was preparing everything for December 4th, 2017 for the launch of this new place. I remember that on this day I was at college, at lunch in the cafeteria. I was waiting for Comp to flip the switch that would allow everyone to be able to sign up. I remember being late for my next class cause I was just so excited to see people flooding in racing to be among the first 100 to get the special gift badge...Literally flooding as you all practically crashed the site with all the traffic, hehe. It was a great day.
But now, we are three years in. Three years of us serving the community with no intent in stopping any time soon. I’ll admit; 2020 has been quite the year and we’ve all had to cry, laugh or just think things over one day or another throughout this year. It’s been tough and I had a thought that maybe CA would not make it. Thankfully, it has and it is all thanks to you, the users of Canterlot Avenue. Whether you’ve been here for a week or since the beginning, thank you. Sincerely from the bottom of my heart.
Today is a new milestone for me. I say this every year, but it is, and always will be a day of milestones for me. My first attempts of running a website were not the greatest, and because I didn’t make the right connections or decisions, that site had a short lifespan. I am thankful for the people of Poniverse because they saw potential in Canterlot Avenue. They took us in, effectively giving us a home, and have helped us stay in service this long. I am thankful for the lessons in which they have taught me time and time again and because of them, I’ve been able to, over the years, learn quite a lot of things. While there is still a lot that I can learn from them, I can say that I am not the same person I used to be when I started this project. My viewpoints have changed and they have helped me avoid major mistakes. It’s been quite the interesting ride over the past few years. And I’m looking forward to the many more ahead with your support.
Secondly, to the staff. Many have certainly come and gone for whatever their personal reasons are, but each have contributed a little piece to this all. Thank you, sincerely. For those who always try to give me all of the credit, I don’t deserve it. They are the champs here. Without them, this place wouldn’t be where it is now. The staff have to deal with various degrees of situations on a daily basis and it is just, to me at least, admirable the determination and effort from both moderators and Public Relations. I can't wait to see what the new PR team will bring to the site with the new team lead. I’m certainly excited.
Thirdly, to the users. I know that I have said it throughout this blog, but I certainly do mean it on how appreciative I am of your support. Even if you are unable to donate or be part of a subscription, your presence here is more than enough. I certainly do hope that you all can stick with us for the foreseeable future. We have a lot of things in store moving forward and some things we hope to release very soon. Projects that have been made with love and with the users in mind, always. We hope that you love the new additions we’ll make just as much as I’ve loved seeing the previews.
To conclude, I know that this blog was a bit extensive, but I really wanted to share how I feel today on this special day and express my gratitude to all. But now that I have done so, I would like to extend that opportunity to you all;
In the comment section of this blog, leave your most memorable moments that you have had on Canterlot Avenue. Simple right? Although, keep in mind that the rules of the site do apply, so please do your best to ensure that your remark is appropriate. For this event, users who choose to participate will receive the 3rd Anniversary badge on their profiles. Our PR team has put a lot of love into this and we hope that you love it as much as we do. The badge will be issued out as soon as possible once the event has concluded, which users will have until Sunday, December 6th at 11:59PM Pacific Time to comment.
Thank you, again for your support!

I don't think I can legally say my most 'memorable' moments xD :wink: my favourite is actually probably that time you publicly said we were friends when someone was bitching about a joke I made. Literally almost cried (if any of you tell ANYONE else I said this I will fucking end you) because of it...View More

Mmm the most memorable part I would say is sharing my art and getting some fun little feedbacks ^^!
