The Castle: The Epilogue Part 0, Prelude

What does it take to defeat a monster? What does it take to dethrone a creature of vile intent? What does it take to reach down into one's very soul in order to fight back against an evil that is unlike the concept of evil itself? Let's take a step back for a moment. Let us all take a moment to remember how we got here. In the ancient times, A vile Ruler had taken control of a powerful Kingdom. A Kingdom that source of magic was based on one magic and one magic alone. Arcane. Now Arcane was and still is one of the two major Magics. Alongside Arcane in this picture would be Light or Pure Magic. But, that's for another time. For we must focus on what truly matters in this refresher. The Creature. The Vile, Evil, Sadistic, Uncaring, Unfeeling Creature. One that takes the form of an Alicorn. One that is an Alicorn. One that is as dark as night, and as wicked as sin. An Alicorn that shows witness to the devil walking among ponykind. Somber. That was the name given. Chosen. Granted to this vile creature. A ruler that ruled with force and uncaring actions. One that carried his Kingdom itself to the pits of monstrous intent. A mass murderer. A social manipulator. A false light in the eyes a worshippers. A ruler......with an apprentice. Arold. If arrogance and brilliance could be described in one word? If greed and desire could be consumed and combined into one vessel? Arold the apprentice would be every bit of that. A brilliant mind. One with a harsh and demanding power in Arcane understanding. One that was chosen by the wicked creature, for the sole purpose of serving the wicked creature. And serve him Arold would. Serve him Arold would for many of years. Learning from the Creature. Understanding the Creature. Improving with aide from the creature. Admiring the creature. Then......Admiration turned to spite. Spite turned to jealously. Jealousy turned to anger. Anger turned into a plan to kill. A plan to kill? Well....that turned into a plan that backfired in the worst possible way....... To be continued:
