2017 Festive Art Contest [Closed]

Season’s Greetings from all of us at CA Staff! We hope you’re settling in nice to the site and getting cozy for Hearth’s Warming and preparing to join us for our adventures into 2018! 2017 has been a year of work for us on staff so let’s make our next a year of fun! In celebration of this festive mood we invite you all to join us this year for the site’s first Holidays with an equally festive contest! We’re calling to all ponies to create a piece of artwork that best depicts their holiday hijinks with us at CA. This includes Hearth’s Warming or New Years Celebrations (even Chinese New Year!). Both traditional and digital submissions are welcome; so long as they depict holiday antics then we want to see! - To the first prize winner we’ll be offering the services of our own artists to create, free of charge, a custom piece of art fully shaded with up to two full body characters and a background by Snow Storm ( https://jeshh.deviantart.com/ ). - The second prize winner shall receive their own custom fully shaded artwork for up to two full body characters by Corgi ( https://corkgi.deviantart.com/ ). - Third prize receives a custom flat coloured image containing one character by Despair ( https://strawberry-poprocker.deviantart.com/ ). But that’s not all, every participant, no matter of their place, shall receive a shiny Hearth’s Warming Holidays badge by Jeshh for their profile! So everyone gets something and no one gets left out in the cold! RULES: To be eligible we’ll be looking at both digital and traditional art that falls within the following guidelines: 1. Submissions made must stick to the theme of “A Jolly Hearth’s Warming and a Happy New Year”, so holiday fun is a must. 2. The picture must include at least one of the site’s mascots, Sunshine Serenade or Misty Nights, somewhere in the picture. They could be drinking some cocoa, wrapping gifts or even watching fireworks with your own characters, so long as they’re clearly identifiable. All submissions made must be recent creations, to prevent previous creations from being submitted. 4. We’d prefer submissions be at least 1000x1000 pixels for digital and at least 500 pixels tall with 72-300dpi for traditional. 5. All submissions should include the name of the artwork, the date it was made, a brief description and your Canterlot Avenue Username so we can identify you! Submissions close January 5th and should be sent to snowstorm@poniverse.com or any of the PR members via Discord (located on the staff page).
