Dove is a fiction writer who revels in the art of creation. From characters to world building, her eyes just start to sparkle whenever she gets an idea in her mind. She's had dreams of flying ever since she was very young, and always envied the Pegasi, wishing to be one of them. She traveled to Japan for a few years for writing inspiration; there she met a Kirin who infused tattoo ink with magic, and got wings tattooed onto her back. It wasn't until some time later that she realized how powerful that magic was, and that her tattoo could actually give her wings, and enable her to fly. Being Kirin magic, the nature of the ink is tied to zen, and thus the wings only respond when Dove has inner peace. This is very difficult for her to achieve, having an anxiety disorder, but she meditates and does her best to move through it day to day, just to have the feeling of flying again. She loved living in Japan, exploring the gardens and cities, and hopes to go back one day. She frequents Asian food marts trying to find Mochi and curry, two foods she fell in love with. While not completely cut off from her family, Dove doesn't like going to her hometown as she is very disconnected from most of them, and enjoys time alone or with friends far more. Eventually she ended up wandering into Dartmare, and was charmed immediately by the spooky, haunting atmosphere of the moors. Loving the cold and rainy weather, she decided to settle down in the village for a few years and get some writing done, inspired by everything around her. She rents a room from Chronicle in his mansion, hoping for strange adventures and unexplained occurrences. Whether or not this works out well for her, has yet to be seen. She has a very motherly and empathetic personality. Despite being very talkative and easy going, she is still quite introverted, needing alone time and recharge from stressful individuals. She's still a sass master, and loves cracking the best (worst) jokes. Her anxiety disorder causes sensory overload frequently, so she much prefers the quiet and less crowded areas. Despite her softer qualities, Dove is naturally excitable and energetic, especially when it comes to topics she is passionate about. Loyal to a fault, and protective as a mother bear, this is not somepony you want to go after you if she feels you're a threat to her babies. Frustrated easily and prone to intense anger if one pushes too hard, Dove will get very shouty, and eventually shuts down when she feels like she wants to cause physical harm. She's a hopeless romantic who loves- well love- and the idea of soul mates and true love get her all giddy. Dove gets self conscious about the stereotypes her interests fit into, but it's what she loves and she can't change them.
