Hebe didn't always have a crescent moon beneath her horn. In fact, it had once been simply a white patch of fur, a mark and nothing else. When the festival came, however, she was branded with the same crescent that was forced upon every other sacrifice, the symbol that meant she was destined to be made into a trinket!
isn't that super fun and nice? no, no it isn't. anyway, that's why the crescent moon on Mirror's face is discoloured - it's a scar.
