As requested - here is my most recent art. I hope it uploads in the correct order. Also I'm currently working on the gf of the blue alien. My first drawing is the very happy girl with the very long locks. She represents the happiness and peace I felt after finally having the strength to leave my abusive ex. The vampire girly was next, I really wanted to make her hair all sparkly and shiny. I was very 50/50 about drawing an open mouth, but I wanted to try and be bold. I then drew the cow girl, finally giving a doodle from 4 years ago into the love it deserves. I experimented with more bold and slightly glossy lips here as well as some bolder shading. And then we get to the alien girl, Tsume. Her and her gf, Sakura, are some of my favorite characters and I'm so obsessed with drawing them together. I thought it would be so fun to draw her again. She is definitely out there in terms of hair design, but that's why I love her so much! I went really bold for some of the shading and the shine on her lips and eyelashes. I'm hoping to do even better on her girlfriend without having the styles in shading clash too much. All of this started because I wanted to try my lineless with a painted style. I now no longer feel anxious about drawing lips or noses. I even attempted to draw an ear with Tsume and I'm actually quite happy! This is why I love being an artist. If something makes you unhappy, perhaps its time to analyze it deeper or come at it from a different angle. Dropping one step (Lineart) has single handedly unclogged the artblock I have been dealing with all my life. I always wondered how drawing traditionally was more fun - its because I didnt line my things. I drew over sketches! I hate doing lineart, simple as that. It makes me miserable and cramps up my hand. Better late than never to discover this.
