Basically his ability is that he can sense magic and spells. He can hear in his head what spell is about to be used when it's going to be used and where it's going to be used/targeted at But only he can hear this and it appears as a voice in his head but it's his own voice and it's quite detailed An example is this: "Thaumaturgy is about to teleport to his apartment room, targeted at another pony, landing under said pony, from the basement." It's a passive ability so he can't turn it off, it's like that all the time, which is why he's often very talkative and loud ; that he can easily block it out,
