Me and a new role play partner discussed how finding a long-term partner can be hard because of various reasons.
I have my status on my social media to reflect that because it really is hard sometimes to keep going. Had a situation that day where I completely burned out of one of my most loved characters and shelved her, for I just didn't have the energy to play as her anymore.
My status isn't directed at anyone, and you wouldn't be able to tell what it actually means unless you knew the context beforehand because it just happens to be vague.
So in the middle of the night my roleplay partner notices my status, thinks it's directed at him when I had it before I met him, and instead of asking if it's directed at him..
.. decides to just end the role play we just started, and leaves. Didn't even ask me about my status, just.. assumes that it's directed at him.
And we just had a conversation about how a lot of people who role play don't want to communicate, and how that causes a lot of problems.
Sometimes, this kills me.
