While he was tempted to relax under an umbrella and read, that was something that could be done anywhere, really. So instead, today, he was experimenting.
He'd mentioned he was going to build a sand castle to a few others, however, he had not clarified that he intended to construct it at full scale. It had only been half an hour, and the foundation and outer walls were already complete. Built over the water with a raised path almost 30 meters long leading out from the beach, it cast a shadow that would surely reach the beachgoers by late afternoon.
Of course, the purpose of this experiment was to see to what extent architecture could be created using merely sand and magical reinforcement, so he was, of course, sort of cheating with magic. So far, the experiment was going excellently, though! Sand was easy enough to gather and mold with levitation, and then layers of enchantments could fix it in place as if it were stone.
"I wonder if anyone would want to use something like this to sell treats out of, or something..." He talks to himself while he dredges another huge mass of sand multiple times his size out of the water, dripping sandy sludge back in as he moves it to where it needs to go. "Maybe I ought to take a break, and go have some chats in the meantime. See what others are up to."
Trotting out of the gates, he makes his way back toward the shore, eyes searching for any sort of interesting ponies or activities.
