Often he imagined himself reciting it at the start of every new adventure to his consorts, if he had any that was. No, instead he often had to go at it alone, few had the daringness, the gumption, the drive to seek out that which is said to be impossible, that which is said to be unlikely and that which is said should be avoided. Galaxy was a stallion who looked into the impossible and the unknown with a grin from ear to ear. Ever since he was a lad he could remember dreaming of the stars, dreaming of finding things that had never been seen before. Those dreams made him into a dreamer, and not a particularly popular one either. Most of his life he had spent being called crazy, insane or just outright daffy. By the time he had reached his thirties he not only was used to such titles, he embraced them. After all, in his heart he knew that he was indeed a barmy old man with a desire to get involved in mad quests to oblivion. He chased the stars, and if that meant a little danger, so be it. Danger was far from something that scared him. Challenge was what he dreamed of, ambition was his driving factor. Little did he know though he was about to meet a stallion who would challenge him in an entirely new kind of way. Galaxy had been close to discovery, he could smell it, he could FEEL it. That same feeling of tingling in his hooves he got when he was on the brink of something amazing. The same feeling he got when he discovered how to utilize star magic for the first time. This was big, huge even. He had been researching a creature that he had only caught a slight glimpse of in the swamp. It possessed a long snake-like body, a maw with several sharp teeth, and a tail with some kind of stinger on it. None had ever seen such a beast before and he was certain it was connected to the flux of spacial energies in the swamp. That was the entire reason he moved there after all, he had sensed the energies in that area and the Everfree forever were places where distorted. These places clearly were weak points of time and space, points where the impossible was more likely to happen. Try as he might though, he failed to capture the beast or get another sight of it. Instead however he drew up a quick sketch of it along with every single note he could think of and within three days time he had made the trip to the rural Ponyville. A quaint little village with locals who seldom saw a proper Brit such as himself. Friendly enough, and smitten with his accent were the ladies, though he hardly noticed. He spent the entire morning looking for an expert on animals and was eventually pointed in the direction of the outskirts of town to a cottage sitting on the edge of the Everfree Forest. A simple place run by an animal caretaker. Galaxy was told to proceed with caution as the owner was a timid fellow who took gentle approaching to warm up to ponies. When he arrived at the house he assumed the stallion would be much like himself as he clearly enjoyed the comfort and concentration that solitude offered. What kind of pony built a home outside of civilization? A scientist after all! Galaxy was certain of it, this pony would be another scientific mind such as himself. Quickly he brushed a hoof through his messy mane and adjusted himself before tapping on the door. This was it, the moment of truth. He hoped and prayed that this stallion was as good as he was told, that he was the expert in animals that he was looking for, otherwise he’d have come all the way to Ponyville for no reason. In his mind he figured if this didn’t work out though, he could go fetch himself a cup of tea and call it a day. He saw a small tea shop in town that he knew he’d have to visit before the day was done. After all, a proper Brit could not simply ignore a tea shop, right?
