I've been talking to all kinds of people throughout different servers on discord and across different groups on Xbox etc. On all of them I usually have a mlp profile picture, and almost all people who notice, and strike up a conversation about it, asking me "hey are you a pony lover, pony etc etc. Or is that just a joke", usually respond with distaste for the brony community. Because apparently we are painted bad, to those people we are assholes and old fat men looking for a good.... Yeah... And it kinda makes me sad, I'd like to think we are a rather kind community. The kindness and awesomeness I've experienced from the brony community, the amazing memories I've made, I've always viewed bronys and pegasisters as some of the best people around, sure there are bad ones here and there, but I am extremely proud to be a brony myself. So it saddens me to think that we are viewed horribly by so many people, all because of the bad parts of our Fandom. I've been slowly trying to clear it up with others, and talk to them and explain that we aren't all perverts, and I'm very happy to say, that upon discovering the truth, some have looked into the show and became bronys themselves. I've never tried to force them, merely explain how we are. But none of that is the point of this post, the point of this post is say what I've been saying. Bronys and pegasisters are good people, and I don't think I'm alone in saying that I don't care if you don't like the show, something as trivial as a difference in opinion won't stop friendship from forming for me, and I've seen it in many mlp places. So I'm just sad that so many see us as immature assholes, when in reality we are talented good natured people. I'm a brony and I'm so proud of it, I'd never give it up, and that's because of the people, the community has been so awesome and fun to be with. But every time someone says such things as we are assholes, often times I've found in the places I've been, it's just from misinformation, and I've always kindly explained who we are, why is there so much hatred towards us? Ah, well I suppose I should end my rant, all I'm saying is, I'm sad about our image, and have been trying to clear up so many misconceptions.
