When I saw the post on FB about the announcement of them a number of comments were very positive not only from the vegan community but from people with allergies to milk. Parents were commenting saying that their kids get to eat magnums for the first time :)

yep, it's soy milk instead of normal milk, I once ate vegan ice cream and it just taste like the normal one.. so no big deal.

That makes sense, I suppose it just seems humorous since I'd just call that soy ice cream but... marketing 'n' all. Sorta like when a can of corn advertises to be gluten free.
