From a magical mishap when she was a younger foal, she has a small magic reserve that she can do currently only three spells, she can fly incredibly fast in tight circles to make a small portal to allow her to cross into alternate realities, but it is really costly, she can only do it once a year. She can also do a lighter version of it that allows her to teleport small distances to known locations, and there is another thing she can do, but she only tells ponies she trust, and are close to her.
