Slates favorite thing to do is paint, though he uses his mouth instead of his magic.slates magical ability is awful, it takes alot of mental concentration to even hold a chair,so he does his best to get by like an earth pony would.slate is unusually smallish, and his physical abilities arent very good but he can be very fast on foot if he has the motivation.

Slate was trialed through many years of magic school for unicorns,eventually he dropped away from it due to the inability to progress, to follow his other dreams of becoming an artist and seeing new things.
Detailed History
Slate was born a FILLY (female foal) in Manhattan, his mother was an earth pony, his father a unicorn. as he got older he realized something about himself and did his best to reflect that on the outside through years of hard work. slate doesn´t really get along with his father ever since an incident regarding magic school and changing himself. His mother passed away when he was still a foal, but he still goes back to Manhattan around late spring to visit her burial site and talk to her.

Slate is a very good painter, and puts alot of his time into it as an art-form and as a way to express himself.Slate is very often found walking long distances to explore lands to help his creative juices flow. slat usually writes in his handy journal whenever he finds something new and notable. he doesnt want to become world famous for his writing but hes pretty good at it.
