The situation changes intensely once he finds an history book about... his homeland.
History book? this is ancient! so he starts to read it, all the wars he participated, all the historical events, places he can recognize and numerous names that rings several bells for him from ancient Egypt.
"... What?" He mutters, flipping page after page, finding nothing but familiarities way too accurate to be true.
It hits him, very harshly. Though he's not an expert in the subject, but these Arabians are time anomalies, from a distant land that doesn't exist anymore. Comparing it to newer documents as Saddle Arabia is actually located in this exact continent, Maxh blinks a few times. "Somnambula?..."
How strange, he doesn't recognize the actual leaders of his supposed homeland, if it IS actually his homeland. "But... we've crossed the seas, what's happening?" He mutters to himself, as it hits him even harder.
They are time anomalies, he doesn't belong in this time, no wonder it all makes sense, how he finds technology so alien to him but is too thick skulled to notice at all, he probably figured out later his sister knew all about this but decided not to tell him.
He's probably a kind of ancestor for someone in this land if anything, the way they look and how peace managed to shrink Equestrian's size overtime, they don't have to face behemoth sand worm monsters that can lever a town into dust with a single swoop, they don't have to be forcefully listed into great scaled armies to throw their lives away, or sold into other royals, or pass such hunger.
it all makes sense to him now, the route he uses hasn't been used in ages, it must be the time anomaly, as he puts the book in it's place the horse simply scoffs, it's a bit surreal but in a timely manner he'll understand further.
