Pyrtera

Pyrterra was a Hippogryph explorer, travelling often far from Mount Aris to explore natural formations. One day while exploring the dormant culderra of a volcano, she cracked open a Geode containing an enchanted runestone, causing her to become encased in a flowerbud-shaped coccoon of obssidian. Some time later, she managed to break free, but was forever magically changed to always be wreathed in fire. The flames are tempermental and react to Pyrterra's mood.If she is content or happy, her flames are entirely harmless. When Excited or startled, her flames flare out at normal fire temperature. When upset or angry, her entire body becomes a moving firestorm- threatening most things in her immediate vicinity.Usually, Pyrtera is pretty cheerful. While she's been pretty adventure'd out where volcanoes are concerned, she is more than ready to experience all the cultural developments in Equestria since her ill-timed stasis. She especially likes foods and festivals, so she's ready to find lodging for around holiday seasons.She wishes she could go swimming, but contact with water that douses her mane and tail cause her to very quickly lose body heat, and would knock her out cold until she was dry enough to reignite. That said, Pyrtera isn't very fond of pranksters, and will be especially miffed at waterbuckets, hoses, and things like water balloons being used on her.
