And Diamond was the only daughter to have inherited her father's legacy; magic from the long line of kings and queens. Magic of the forest dragons. This magic was the sole reason for her suffering from the shadow magic. It wanted her. It wanted her pure magic. To corrupt, to shape into malicious evil...And she would unfortunately have to fight back the corrupt and alluring draw of the dark. Luna had dutifully prepared the young hybrid for the life that now lay ahead of her, even if neither was aware of the dragon pony's lineage or future.It had been a tumultuous journey to get here, full of happiness and anger, pleasant memories and ugly truths. Yet, Diamond was happy. She could stop longingly staring at the sky, wondering where her father could be, wondering why he never came back for her. She knew that he was with her beloved mother now, as he was meant to be. The lilac dragon pony hoped she could do her parents well and lead Hawthorn's kingdom with much compassion and loyalty as her late father. And now, Diamond was to be coranated soon, to gain her official title of Queen Hawthorn, instead of Princess Diamond Dream. The road ahead was uncertain, but Diamond could look to Canterlot, where her adopted mother and aunt, Luna and Celestia, resided if she needed advice.Diamond had started out life, unsure of her place in the world. Never had she imagined that she would become queen, yet here she was. Surrounded by dragon ponies like herself and their families, Diamond wouldn't change a thing.
