well i installed it on another free week like, 4 years ago and it actually worked, it ran at 15-20 fps but i was able to play it

If you're running SC on a mechanical hdd, you're asking to have a bad time. 8GB of ram is a bit light too but should "eventually" load up.

Star Citizen runs like ass on most computers. I run it off a ssd, with a 2080 super and it just takes forever to load, and even when it loads, it's laggy until everything loads again. But when it's all loaded up.. It's real good

Until their upcoming technologies come into play, expect crap performance for sure. Can barely keep 40 fps on a 3080 cause fps is more or less locked to server performance. Can be quite CPU hungry in spots too. 80-85% on a 8700k is rough.

hardware will not run old games good even if it is tenfold the performance of hardware back then
you can only throw so much horsepower until code and optimization starts to present exponential diminishing returns, so if it's jank on good stuff, someone's doing things jank or it's just old. :eyes:

Was excited for this game but none of the pre-order packages looked interesting and really I was mostly after space dogfighting which I was able to get my fill from in Star Conflict.
I wish Fractured Space hadn't died, it was badass large-scale space war
