Perhaps the most significant thing that occurred in Greyline's life was when he was recognized as a hero by Celestia herself. His brave actions during the Changeling Invasion were responsible for the lives of several ponies being saved, after his commanding officer was found to have long since been replaced. Despite the fame, he still remained humble as we was rewarded quite well for his bravery and selflessness. The event is still a fond memory for him. Today, he is one of Celestia's trusted ponies, as his loyalty to her and his dedication to spreading her ideals have earned her trust. However, some nobles and elites are indeed quite upset by his rise through the ranks, as roles within the Royal Guard tend to be given out depending on how high the pony is up on the social ladder. The fact that Greyline himself has Earth Pony blood in his veins, meaning he isn't a "pure unicorn," can also cause problems among the snobbish.
