Ourple changeling
Really tho, I have no name for these things but I wanted to do a whole 'parasitic worm' thing that WASN'T zombies...
These things begin their life cycle as small worms that latch onto larger organisms, with ponies, this is usually via the ears, from there they use an organic silk-like substance that hardens into a shell over time.
The first of these shells is made internally around select segments of the brain, which causes the host to exhibit traits the worm wishes them to exhibit.
Aaaaand a whole bunch of other stuff blablabla, key things are the hosts aren't 'zombies', they still have free will to an extent, just with the instinct to burrow underground and consume roots...Which often results in large portions of forests they live under dying out.
Why he ourple?
