Hush Heart and her true form. She’s a partially reformed changeling. Not fully because of her own conflicted beliefs about love. She couldn’t accept reformation due to her believing that love is conditional and must be earned through pain or sacrifice. She sees love as something that hurts and associates it with loss. She desperately craves it and goes through dangerous lengths to attain it. In her mind, love only stays if you bleed for it, endure fear for it and make yourself smaller for it. So when her reformation began, the magic worked… but it had nothing stable to anchor to.Reformation requires self-acceptance alongside outward love. She gives love freely, but denies it to herself. Because she cannot love herself, her body cannot finish becoming what love creates. She will often throw herself into danger for others, stay with those who hurt her, offer devotion without boundaries, feel safest when she is needed, not cherished. Love flows out of her constantly, but never into her. That imbalance is what froze her transformation
