Those of you who follow me know that I have been frequenting all three of my local MINISOs lately. After scoring my Twilight Sparkle plushie, I was made aware that the IP includes keychains, so I've been watching out for those. No luck so far, but today I was surprised by something even more exciting. These Sweetheart Paradise Surprise Box Figurines go for $19.99 before tax. So for the same price as a decent plushie, you get quite a value. The cupcake has an impressive diameter, the cotton candy stick and the heart sign lock into place securely. The trading card has a very glossy shine to it, very sparkly. The most impressive part of this presentation is, thankfully, Pinkamena herself. I was pleasantly surprised by how solidly built she is. Pinkie is almost heavy for her size, but that keeps her from walking. The paint is well applied, and evenly coated. I do wish she locked onto the cupcake, but you can't have it all. Even after spending twenty bucks, frankly I was expecting to content myself with a good deal less than this. As you can see, Pinkie Pie was one of three boxes left at that location, as of this afternoon. Now I hadn't been looking out for these, I came across them on my way out the door. But I do a lot of mall crawling at this point in my life. And it will not surprise me at all, in the days ahead, if I don't see any more of these. I've spoken with folks at all three MINISOs in my area, and they all tell me the same thing. MLP FIM merch doesn't stay in stock, it sells out quickly.
