I wouldn't. Desktops are so much cheaper, powerful, and much more durable in the long run. For real though, it depends on a lot of things. What do you value? Power, bang for buck, something that'll just run a specific game, etc.

I would also recommend just buying the parts and building it yourself, it can be nerve racking the first time, but you get a better understanding for your computer, and get the whole "I built that" Feeling ^^
