He was exhaust... View More"You know, this would be a lot quicker if you simply stood still!" Dementia winced as he dodged another beam of light, feeling the intense heat as it passed him by just under an inch. He was exhausted, his energy severely depleted after a couple days of fighting with barely any rest to speak of. Currently the fight had moved on to the Everfree, which was the only place Dementia's opponent wouldn't unleash her full power, for fear of burning the forest and it's precious contents. As for Dementia's opponent- "I TOLD YOU TO HOLD STILL, YOU BLASTED PATCHWORK FIEND!!" -she was still just as energetic as ever. Admittedly Dementia was getting frustrated with fighting Daybreaker as this was the fifth world in a row to have an Evil Celestia, but honestly he was too focused on survival to be all that annoyed. Dodging another beam of light and dashing off between the trees, Dementia took stock of what he had available to him. Let's see, about 18% power, the Everfree forest, and... that was about it. Not a whole lot of stuff he could use, he didn't even have the energy left to open a dimensional rift and exit this reality. Served him right trying to fight Daybreaker head on, he supposed. "Stop running, Draconequus! You are only prolonging your inevitable death!" Speaking of Daybreaker, she wouldn't shut up. Threat after threat after threat, it was like she breathed menacing cartoon villain or something! Urgh, just his luck he got one of the powerful but dumb ones. At least the smart ones would usually let him live, or kill him quickly and without warning. Prolonged fights were just so bothersome. "Oh, go bother someone else you flaming toucan!" Dementia shouted, causing Daybrraler to roar in rage and blast away several trees into a fine mist, so hot was her flame. Dementia gulped, quickly diving away as several other beams were fired in quick succession at him. What he needed to do was make a plan now. Hmm, what to do. Ah, excellent, find that blasted tree and use it to hopefully cure Daybreaker of her bad cause of the Evils! It was better than running around until Daybreaker nicked him. That's all it would take to kill him, with how weak he was currently. Dashing to the side, Dementia began using some of his magic to locate the nearest source of Harmonious energy, immediately shooting off towards it with Daybreaker in hot pursuit. Dodge a tree there, miss a beam there, it wasn't long until Dementia reached the location of the Tree of Harmony, literally throwing himself into the cave as he quickly moved to hide around behind the tree. This wouldn't fool Daybreaker for long, but it didn't need to. He just needed- "Where are you you insufferable demon?!" -a few more seconds- "Come out of wherever you're hiding, cur, that we may show you our wrath!" -to use what was left of his magic- "Ah ha, there you are! Any last words, knave?" Dementia opened his eyes to give Daybrraker a thoughtful look, seeing the intense glow from her horn as she grinned triumphantly. He tilted his head and smiled at her, causing her grin to falter slightly in confusion. "Why, I do believe I have a final word or three." Dementia said, his smile turning into a grin as he opened his arms wide. "Taste The Rainbow!!!" "Wha-" Was all the confused Daybreaker got out before the two were blasted by a powerful beam of Harmony magic, originating from the tree itself. Daybreaker, for her part, was freed from her issues and restored as a much weaker and disoriented Celestia. Dementia, however.... 'Tch, of course I got turned to stone. I was too weak to resist the effects, and I did channel the Tree's power through my body, so I'm not surprised. Ah well, if Celestia doesnt decide to free me, at least a get a vacation for now. I can at least actually rest in this so called prison, and escape later when I've recovered.' With that thought in mind, Dementia relaxed, pleased to note that the brand new Draconequus statue was striking quite the triumphant and heroic pose, arms outstretched and a jovial smile on his face. Yes, more than good enough for an extended stint in stone, he decided, and laid back in his own mind to rest for now. A rest well earned, as he would wait for his next adventure. The Cosmic Janitor's work was never truly done, after all.

Hmm, perhaps I should have put this as a Friendship Report, as it likely would have been more appropriate there. I keep forgetting that tab exists, and that there are stories placed there for people to read. Ah well, silly me! I can just fix that next time.
