Kurkon Reactor Incident - The beginning of a long journey

Abakan was sitting next to the entry of the reactor control room. He had taken place on an old wood chair. In his hand a rifle. His eyes were carefully watching the group of scientists that hat gathered around the multiple Displays of the main control panel from where the new Experiment was controlled. The scientist seemed very excited about this new experiment. "what's all this about exactly." Abakan turned his head to look at Dr. Grostky who had been standing next to Abakan. "A new experiment. We have found a new element near the Copper Mines. We have hopes that we might have found some sort of new element to power batteries or weapons with. In about a minute we will be sending a lot of radiation and energy into one of the samples we have taken." grotsky answered, Abakan just nods "That's why I am here. Seems like Moscow is putting a lot of hope into this new project." Abakan leaned back. All eyes were focused on one of the many monitors. It showed the reactor chamber and the station in that the sample was placed an hour before. Everyone watched carefully as the reactor control rods were slowly pulled out. The energy output slowly climbing. "Okay, we need to get to 75 percent power for the test." Dr. Grotsky looked at the scale for the power output. Slowly the 75 percent output was reached. Dr. Grotsky looked back at Abakan. "the test is gonna start now" The Dr noded at one of the scientists. The scientist pushed down on a button. The whole energy and radiation of the reactor were redirected into the testing chamber. "Something is happening!" one scientist watching the radiation levels got alarmed as his monitors showed unusual high amounts of radiation and heat inside the test station. "Sir we have a Reaction!" Dr. Grotsky's eyes shot open as he looked at the monitor that watched the reactor room. A bright blue light was emitted from the test station. The air around the test station started to flicker with light. Suddenly the alarm went off as the test station started emitting dangerous levels of radioactivity and heat. Dr grotsky slammed his fist on the reactor shut down button. The control rods slowly getting lowered into the reactor. "Power output at 10 percent. The test station is still critical!" Abakan was watching everything unfold from his chair. He got up and looked at the scientist that tried to get everything back under control. Something was not right, the new element got more and more hooter and radioactive. "Shut this down, Doctor!" Dr grotsky turned to look at Abakan just at this moment the whole power plant was shaken by a huge detonation in the reactor room. Just seconds later a something similar to a shockwave passed through the control room. Abakan looked down his body as he was engulfed by some kind of forcefield. Just as he looked back up he blacked out in a huge amount of pain. Abakan's vision was blurry as he slowly awoke again, but something was strange, fresh air blew through his hair. his vision slowly came back. He was not in the control room anymore. He laid near a forest in the middle of a field. Hos body, not that of a human anymore. His arms and legs were replaced by hoofs. He screamed in horror. What had happened? Why was he here now? Nothing of this was of matter at this moment as he slowly got up. He needed to find out what would come next and where he was. It would be a long journey that would lead him to the answers he needed.
