In the later and darker hours in Equestria when not much would be going on the sky would be illuminated by several bright lights seemingly falling from the sky like shooting stars except much brighter and with smoke trails. If close enough to them they would make a subtle vibration as they impacted.
At first look they looked like metal eggs but they would all simultaneously shoot flares up into the sky that would float overheat for a while marking their location. Right after the flares they would open up and play a recording.
“This is Captain Ghastwell of the Titan Express delivery ship Titandragon. Most of you will know me by Dragonfly. This may be confusing for the most of you for but I’m not from here and I travel via a large space capable vessel, the previously mentioned Titandragon. None of that matters now.”
A deep sigh could be heard.
“If you are hearing this that means the Titandragon has been knocked out of geo synchronous orbit and the emergency broadcast beacons have launched, that’s the object you are hearing this from. This mean that my ship is either crashing towards your planet, has already crashed towards your planet, crashed into your moon, or it’s now hurtling through space. I hope it’s one of the last two, but even if it is that doesn’t exactly mean the planet is safe. Only a few things could cause this and most of those are still harmful to Earth including an invasion force or some sort of spacial anomaly. If you don’t hear a separate message after this then I didn’t have time to make one.”
A beep would play before another message began, loud hissing, sparking, and alarm noises in the background. The same voice would speak although now ragged and hurried.
“This is Captain Dragonfly of the Titandragon, as you are hearing this a small scouting force has just blown my ship out of orbit and into a crash course for the moon. I’ll try to escape before that happens but for anyone hearing this you need to get this message to your leaders. A large fleet will be heading towards this planet in approximately three weeks from the time this EBP lands. Each one is fitted with a long range beacon that will send an emergency signal to my home planet who will respond with a larger fleet. I promise that while the Rassulian fleet will push back the coming attackers, they may or may not get involved in this planets interplanetary relations and set up a colony, definitely for worse. It is not my call to make this decision, it is yours. Strange things may happen to this planet in the coming weeks, I wish you the best of luck. I’m sorry this had to happen.”
The whole thing loops back and plays again.
