There Dragonfly stood staring at the button he had just pressed, launching the emergency broadcast beacons after he recorded what could be his final words to anyone. A moment or two would pass before the ship shook and he realized he needed to act instead of staring off into space. The Titandragon was currently hurtling straight towards the moon and didn't look like it was going to stop. The engines were fried and the gravity drive broken, the ship maneuvering thrusters weren't operational either and Dragonfly had no way of calling for help.
"Comrade, download all the data and move yourself to the dropship." He would rush over to the control panel, struggling to keep balance as the ship shook and fell apart, seeing if anything was online. "Comrade, I said transfer the data." He would aggressively tap the main console. "Comrade!" He shouted at it knowing he wouldn't get a reply back. A heavy sigh and a grunt came from the large alien as he crawled under the console and would pull out a large box. "I'm not leaving you behind Comrade, you mean to much to me."
Dragonfly would make his way to the hanger and would load anything he needed into the dropship, hastily connecting his AI to the ship. Booting up the ship's systems he'd check the engines and life systems before taking off. It was far too late for though.
As he tried pulling the dropship out the Titandragon's main engines would collapse, causing debris to scatter, making Dragonfly correct course, trapping him in the hanger right as the transport ship was about to crash into the lunar surface.
Right before everything went to shit Dragonfly closed his eyes and for a moment there was nothing. No sound, no light, nothing going on, it was peaceful.
