*The names of things English translations of what would originally be Rassulian names.
The Rassulian Empire from the Metalo Kledia system in the third quarter of the Requos galaxy is known to many as one of the largest and most brutal empire in the mapped universe. Having taken over most off their own galaxy and capable of expanding past that the Rassulian Empire has garnered a fearful reputation, yet are opposed by no military or policing force. All those who intend to fight them are met with an unrelenting fleet of ships from its massive navy, a navy known for its sheer size and its strength in both the ships themselves and the fleet entirely. The Rassulian race come from a planet torn by war for most of its history and coming together only to wage more. As an empire they know nothing of defeat and have never once surrendered having only won every engagement they involved themselves in. The Rassulian Empire is the cause of billions of lost lives and the destruction of many cultures and even civilizations as a whole. Despite all of this, there are still those Rassulians who care for the ones who's lives are ruined by the Empire and its lust for domination.
Nigal Ghastwell, Brax Tanni, Evi Fibner, and Kan Bangk are all Rassulian born and blood relocated at birth to another planet. All four were inducted into the Rassulian Seventy Fourth Invasion Navy Fleet as Rescue Operations Unit Two Seven Seven "Sun Catchers." Kan Bangk was serving a prison sentence with military service, the rest were serving their mandatory five year military service. The crew's job was to follow along with the rear guard and pick up any survivors out of ship wreckage, that was their only duty as Rescue Operations.
The Sun Catcher crew were one of the few Rescue Operations crew marked by the Rassulian Navy as "Devil Medics" and had the sides of their ship marked with a symbol depicting the Rassulia's version of demons. They would rescue members of the planet or system their fleet was invading and would often allow them to leave as they pleased. This also caused many stranded Rassulians to refuse their rescue, accepting death as an alternative and for them to be shunned by the rest of the rear guard and Rassulian fleet. The appearance and reputation of the crew by the Rassulian fleet didn't matter much to them since they despised their own empire anyway, wanting nothing more than to get done with their service and be granted a travel license so they could leave Imperial territory.
The Sun Catchers would gain a greater reputation than any other Rescue Op crew for having over eight hundred confirmed Rassulian rescues, over four hundred enemy rescues, and flying over twelve hundred missions. They were the first Devil Medics marked crew to be given the Royal Honors, Medical Honors, and the Rassulian Crest. They would change how Devil Medics were viewed and change how Rassulia handled rescue operations. Kan was given an official pardon and all four were granted travel licenses. They would all leave the Rassulian Empire having changed it for the better, even if only slightly.
One of the crew members would continue flying rescue operations for a private company before obtaining a transport ship and starting a shipping and mail company.
